- Accepting Outpatient Only: Hospital is only seeing medically stable patients who do not need hospitalization.
- Examples: Skin/ear conditions; minor wounds
- Accepting Critical Cases Only: Hospital is only seeing patients who need immediate and life saving care
- Examples: Acute trauma, bloat, toxicity/poisoning
- Diverting - At Capacity: Due to current case load, hospital is not able to see any more patients at this time

- Diverting- In Surgery: Veterinarian is in surgery, hospital is not able to see any more patients at this time.
Things to remember
Many hospitals have only one veterinarian on at a time; please be PATIENT and please be KIND
Wait times change rapidly and often; please call hospitals directly for the most current status.
Most hospitals will see patients in order of medical stability NOT in order of arrival. The more stable your pet is the longer the wait time may be.
